A gut feeling. A powerful hunch. A flash of insight. A stroke of genius. An inner knowing.... there are countless ways we label our Intuition and for everyone it is different... but the reason we receive these nudges is the same for all of us.



Every single one of us has a dream that our soul calls us to fulfill. It doesn't matter how successful we may already be, or how new we are on the path of our destiny. There is a hunger that calls to all of us in one way or another that encourages us to hear it, to follow it and to be prepared for the amazing opportunities that it holds for us.

 
Our Intuition is that soft and gentle call - it is the quiet voice that taps us on the shoulder and says - "Yes, it is time.", "You can do it." or "It is time to move on."


Intuition does not negotiate, manipulate, pester or debate and it never gives us more than we can handle in any given moment. The voice of our Intuition speaks in calm and neutral language that empowers us - it sees opportunities far ahead of us which create win/win situations and sets new and unseen ideas into motion.


Intuition will NEVER lead us on a course that would cause us or any one else harm ~ it is the voice of our HIGHEST self ~ which seeks the good for all involved and calls us only to our HIGHEST POTENTIAL.


Yet very few of us answer that call. Instead we listen to the whispers that convince us that it is too risky. That people may laugh at us, or that we might lose everything we have built around us that makes us comfortable. We listen instead to that persistent voice that says, "No. Don't do it." or "Who do you think you are to dream so big?", or "Why would anyone want to  date you? Listen to you? Agree to your proposal? or "Give you the time of day?"


INTUITION AND THE EGO

Have you ever noticed that it is the most insecure and fearful people who tend to be the loudest, most opinionated or most aggressive when dealing with others? Have you ever heard that the truth about any bully, is that deep inside lies a terrified and deeply insecure human being covering for their fears by being cruel? It is the same with these voices and proddings that bully us into staying small and safe, and convince us of the 'risk and folly of our dreams.' 


The most secure people in the world have no reason to force themselves or prove themselves to anyone. They are quietly powerful in their presence and have no need to cajole, convince or jam an opinion down anyones throat. Their power lies in their steady, calm and persistent energies of 'knowing who they are and what they are capable of'. The bullies have no sway over these people, their messages go unheeded.


Our insecure ego is that bully, who tries to drown out the tender messages of our Intuition that encourage us to reach beyond the safety zone that everyone else lives in. Our soul will softly say, "Go for it.", "You can do it.", "Now is the time." ~ if we can find the courage to listen intently to the softer messages of our being, then we will eventually discover what our true purpose is on this planet.


When we ignore the directives of our Intuition and heed only the paranoia of our fears, we are being energetically selfish with the Universe, and we obliterate the ability for our dreams and desires to come to fruition. We spin our wheels with one foot on the gas and one foot on the brake ~ quickly going nowhere. 


I encourage you to ask yourself, every day, "What would I do with my life, or with this moment, if I wasn't afraid?" Then when the answer comes to you, and it will. Go do it. Do not hesitate. Do not question. Do not analyze. You are being guided, take the instruction and pay careful attention to where it leads you and how you feel once you have followed the directive.

 
Eventually the fears that held such power over you will no longer carry any weight. If they do, continue to prove them wrong. Continue to take action against them. If they don't, then I congratulate you on the new path you have undertaken. The brakes will have come off, and you will be moving, full speed ahead on the path to your true destiny and the purpose of your life. And the voice of your Intuition will be the one guiding you the entire way.
